Parise is still pretty cheap considering what he's doing and how good he is.

if you do choose moller let me know, i just decided to stop collecting him and could give you a good start. you should collect whoever you want to collect though, not who someone says you will.

Your early idea of Shea Weber is an excellent one. There are so many factors that make him a great hobby sleeper - d-man, non-hockey market, etc. - I've often said that if Shea were on a Canadian team he'd be way more popular than Phaneuf. My Weber Cup RC has the best patch I have on any card. Plus it is very easy to get a lot of his cards once the die-hard Kelowna boys get what they want out of the releases. :)

How about Kopitar (pretty darn cheap)

    Define "cheap"?

I mean if $500-900, depending on the quality of the swatch, for a player's Cup rookie (usually the key component to any newer player collection) is cheap then I need your job!

Quality of player vs prices from LA Kings, id go with Kopitar, you can get most of his stuff fairly cheap and hes one of the best in the NHL this season, cant go wrong IMO

For reasons I couldn't explain if you asked me to, I'm partial to a lot of the 08-09 rookie crop guys. Moller is a great choice. As far as great patch teams go, I've always liked the Panthers, BHawks, Kings and Preds... so as not to repeat suggestions that have already been made, Frolik was good, and I'd consider Michal Repik or Shawn Matthias too (would be even cheaper with very good patch potential). Hornqvist might be another Preds option if you decide to pass on Weber. Here's a wild card choice.... Colton Gillies.
