What's the Goal of this contest?

It's fairly simple, try to predict the 1st Round of the NFL Draft.


Rules:

• Read entire thread carefully, especially parts in RED.

• One entry per contestant, All entries MUST be posted here & MUST follow the sample entry form. See below for a sample entry.

• Entires MAY be edited and posted up until 7:30 PM Eastern, Thursday, April 22nd, 2010. If you post or edit your entry after that time, using SCF time, your entry will be disqualified.


How it Works?

Points are awarded based on the accuracy of the numbered selection, not matching player with the team who selects him. Maximum points are awarded for players correctly selected in the correct order position in which they are drafted. For correct picks in the wrong position, points awarded will get incrementally smaller, based upon how close the participants' selected order position is to the actual order position of the Draft. If a participant's selection is correct, thirty-two (32) points are awarded. If a participant's selection is one position away from the actual pick - in either direction - sixteen (16) points are awarded. Two positions away win eight (8) points, etc.

Points are awarded as follows:

32 pts - correct pick
16 pts - 1 pick off either direction
8 pts - 2 picks off either direction
4 pts - 3 picks off either direction
2 pts - 4 picks off either direction
1 pt - 5 picks off either direction
0 pts - 6+ picks off either direction

Once the 1st round is over, points are not determined. For example if you put someone at 32, and they get taken as the 1st pick of the 2nd round, you do not get 16 points.

Note: You are picking the player who will get selected at that specific overall pick...If a team trades out of their slot, the player you have going at that pick is still your pick. So you are mostly worried about the order, and not the team the player goes to. I will update any changes to the draft order in this thread as we approach draft day so if a trade happens and it effects how you think the draft will fall, keep up with this thread and edit your selections. 30 minutes before the draft begins, the draft order used for this contest will be final, all trades after the start will not be changed in our contest so all have time to make any last minute edits prior to the start of the draft.

Tiebreaker:

In case of a tie we will have a 2 tier tiebreaker question. If you do not answer the tiebreaker and the person your tied with does, you automatically lose.
