Question regarding SUPERcollector status
I am trying to get listed as a super collector. (This honestly is me lobbying for it)
But have a PC collection. The guy I am closest to completion has 123 listed cards on Beckett, my question is that 17 of them are trade show variations (ie Toronto Expo, The National, NHL Fantasy....etc). My question is are these generally regarded as being part of a player checklist or more less extras as they were never distributed widely in true pack form.
Just curious to see what everyones opinion is on this.
Thanks,
Jon

If they are listed in beckett, then they should count.
And straight from the thread in the SC forum:
- Your player must have at least 175 cards and have completed at least 3 years in the NHL
you're not going to get it. And honestly it's rightfully so. Supercollector should be something reserved for those people who TRULY are super collectors (tkmullin, 30ranfordfan, TurcoCollector) who have pretty much every card of a player who has a ton of cards. It's something special and should take years to achieve.

Easy there on the "rightfully so" bit. My sincere apologies for not noticing the requirements. This was just one of a handful of players. You don't know what I have. Also have 75% of the 1800+ Doug Weight cards in production ad well as 58+% of the 9000+ ultra cards in production.
Question was just that a question looking for opinions. Not looking to find a Backdoor way into the "club"
But thank you for your opinion.

The show-stamped cards do indeed count towards a player's totals.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

i believe it takes into account everything you collect regarding said player. from oddballs to show stamped cards to minor league releases, game used memorabilia, auto 8x10s, etc...
show off everything that makes you believe you're a super collector.
EDIT - also have these 2 doug weight cards if you're interested:

It's not a shot at you. It's just that to truly be a super collector it should be something just truly jaw dropping. Not saying yours isn't as I haven't seen it but I honestly think the requirement should be changed to a minimum of 300 cards made for that person and you have at least like 80-90% of the cards. Sorry if you were offended.
