    Flames, Wings Create Difficult Chase

    By Jeff Gordon

Normally back-to-back victories in greater New York City would be a cause for great celebration for the Blues.

Those great efforts pushed the Blues’ record to 34-28-9, good for 77 points. That record would easily place the Note in the Eastern Conference playoff bracket.

But as we know, this side of the NHL is a different matter. The 10th-place Blues must get past Calgary and Detroit to reach the top eight in the Western Conference

I've got my fingers crossed this happens. 8 points back of Detroit with 10 games to go though?? Not likely.

Strangers things have happened before. Not going to count my chickens before they hatch.
