    Flyers/Senators Game 3/22

I know I have a slightly biased point of view, but how can anyone who watches hockey not see what a joke the officiating was in this game. To not call the penalty on the hit to Gagne and let the other team score because of is ridiculous in and of itself. Volchenkov even looked around for the ref after the hit assuming he would be called. But to then call roughing and fighting at the same time? Please explain to me which one was which. Was the roughing before or after he fought. And then the no goal by Timmonen. That puck was over the line. They showed 2 still frame shots on the broadcast of the puck over the line but Toronto takes 8 minutes to call no goal? Is this a repeat of the Pittsburgh Gagne no goal when the home team doesnt send all the footage? This game was such a joke it makes me angry. We've been playing badly recently and it sucks, but this nonsense?

    I'm done ranting...for now...

Couldn't agree with you more. We aren't playing that well right now, but we definitely got completely screwed this game.

I didn't see the game but it's honestly a bit annoying when people always associate looking around for the ref to being guilty. Plenty of times someone will lay a clean hit on someone and still look at the ref to see if he's getting a call for any reason. so to say that Volch plead guilty by looking at the refs is unfair.

As for bad officiating, there was a ton of it last night in the Kings/Avs game so you're not the only team getting screwed over. I honestly think missed calls are the only reason the avs had the chance to tie the game and when you're almost identical in points to the team you're playing, you don't want a 3 point game

I have noticed since the Olympic break the officiating has been Horrible at best - almost like they forgot how to officiate a game....

BTW - That was a Goal - Clearly over the line - Philly was robbed!

Well I didn't see the no goal the 2nd Volchenkov hit definitely was 5 minutes for boarding or hitting from behind. The 1st hit was a flying forearm maybe an elbow so yeah but I do still love the way Volchenkov plays. Philly did get screwed and the officiating has been horrible since the Olympic break. Just brutal in many games.
