1999 Football Boxes - Please Weigh In

I want to buy one (or more) 1999 football boxes mainly because I'm a McNabb fan and think it would be fun to try to score a rookie the old-fashioned way and also to build some of these nice sets. Here are my considerations...

    Bowman - under $20
    Bowman Chrome - $45
    Topps Chrome - $45
    SP Authenitc - $90
    Playoff Contenders - $120

The prices are average eBay prices without shipping. I'd like to hear opinions on these sets and especially the thought on pulling something worthwhile from the boxes. More specifically, I'd like to hear thoughts on the last 2 boxes - I want to know how likely I am to pull a real auto and not an expired redemption. Furthermore, if I end up with an expired redemption, is there anything I can do? It's tough to justify spending a hundred bucks on SP Authenitc when all I might get is a useless redemption card.

    Thanks in advance!

SP was one rookie a box. And I think one auto a box, that's about all you'll get. I think the last box I opened, I got a Cecil Martin rookie. I'd be careful on this. There are 54 rookies so your odds are 1:54 of getting a McNabb. Topps Chrome also short printed RC's, but not as bad as SPA,and you'll get some cool refractors. Bowman Chrome also had refractors and you'll probably get a McNabb regular issue. I never tried the Contenders. Good luck!
