2008/09 Upper Deck Series 1 boxes
Well according to the UD Store, these boxes are worth 35$
http://store.upperdeck.com/store/Spo...___65918?Args=
But I do not understand why my local shop believes these are still worth 100$ a box! While he is selling the 09/10 Series 1 boxes for 70$..
So does anyone know any good online card stores that are based in Canada?

Those are retail packs, the odds are a lot lower to get the good stuff. Hobby packs are what the LCS prolly sells. Although I am pretty sure you still get 6 young guns in the retail so it is a pretty good deal.

I can only speak for here in Ontario, not for the West Coast.
There is a card store company who operates in both Washingston and BC, but I don't know their name off hand. They also have an eBay store.
Have you checked the local phone book? You might be able to find one nearby. Don't forget that we have several sellers here ion the forums like quietthings (ON) and Enigma (USA).
Enigma regularly posts poxes and packs FS.
If you want more info, send me a PM.
cheers,

Consider:
UD, the manufacturer, is selling these directly.
Your LCS has to pay his distributor, his overhead, possibly import duties, and still needs to hit a profit margin.
UD is blowing out their stock to make way for new stock.
Your LCS is content to hold the product.
Yes it's a rather significant discrepancy but don't regard your shop owner as a monster. If too many people point their finger at the computer and say, "I can get it online/eBay/elsewhere for a lot cheaper" in short order you'll have to.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...
