How much for this Kevin Durant?
I have pretty much made up my mind, that I want this card, and will bid whatever I need to, to own it.
It is a 2009-2010 Topps Chrome Superfractor Kevin Durant #d 1/1
I was hoping to get some opinions from the experienced collectors. What kind of money do you think it will take to buy it? Whats a typical price for a Superfractor? I don't sell my cards. I just buy what I want and keep it. So, I'm not concerned with a "value" later on down the road. I was just wondering, if there was a price point to where it would be a stupid purchase. Any guesses on where I should expect it to end up?

You answer your question right there. If it's a card you want, and you have the money for it, you dictate your own price. That being said, it is a 1/1 and Durant's cards have been really hot so it can shoot up there in price. In my opinion it's hard to gauge a price for it.

It already seems like you have your mind made up that you want and will buy this card, so it really doesn't matter what anyone else would or wouldn't pay for that card. I think everyone has that white whale that they want to be the gem of their collection. For me, I have several. I am a regular Captain Ahab.
I think the $60 it's already at is crazy, but collecting is subjective. If you like it, have the funds and want the card, go for it? Good Luck!!!

I picked up the 09/10 Certified 1/1 and 08/09 Treasury Rip Card 1/1 (unripped) of KD off eBay. I would guess the Topps Chrome Superfractor from the last year of Topps Chrome would go for more than either and be in the neighborhood of $200. I collect KD, and I think the max I'd pay for it is $125. For $200, I'd rather have a nice true rookie auto or one of the nice 07/08 Topps Chrome refractor versions (either white or orange), but if money is no object, by all means go for it lol. I do bid on a lot of KD stuff, but don't worry, I won't be competing with you on this one lol. If it gets above $200, I think you're starting to get into the territory of a "silly" purchase.

125 is safe to say. superstar superfractors go for about 100-150

Just don't bid too early as to avoid shilling. But then, you never know if someone else wants the card so badly and bid max with $250 already.

LOL, I was looking to get this card too but then realized it's not his rookie super refractor so it's not worth the money to throw big at. Super refractors are rarely on sale at ebay so it's hard to judge the price on them. It has 4 days left and it's already at 96+. There are growing Durant fans out there including me so don't be surprised if this card goes over 300+. For me, I would personally pay only around 150 for it.
