HIV/Aids Facts
At school, I got some facts about HIV/Aids.
5 people die every 2 min.
8,219 people die every day
57,533 people die a week
250,000 people die a month
3,000,000 people die a yr.
pretty scary.

Wow...3 million a year...that's crazy...do you know the percentage of deaths per continent by any chance? I'd be interested in seeing the difference in numbers...I know Africa would have the highest percentage.

Even with our technological advances, we can't find a cure for it. Almost as amazing as the statistics posted.

I don't know if its finding a cure I think its more of a money issue. I heard HIV medication is very expensive something like $10,000-$30,000 a month. Only the rich can afford this medication. I think it has to do with the government and insurance companies not paying for this medication. The medication is much cheaper to make, they just want to make a redicious profit.
