I'm so confused on this whole thing now, with yesterdays uproar, cant we just have a friendly vote? (Yes its wishfull thinking) and not bash other sites?
Agreed! I'll be HAPPY when 5 Apr comes and goes.

The word needs to be put out here more on the site somehow. We constantly have x number of members here. Im up for any suggestions as to how we can get the most out of our database of users without anything like a mass pm or any of that. Are there any other ways to get our members to go and take 5 seconds to vote?

I'm contacting Chris Carlin at Upper Deck about clarification on the voting rules. Apparently, you can clear out your cookie and vote every day. Per the polling rules set up, if Upper Deck wanted to have people vote more than once Upper Deck would have set it that way.

Notice that there is are two settings:
- Count each IP only once (be warned that several different people may really have the same IP)
- Use Cookies (Normally you do not want to turn it off, unless you intentionally wish same voters to vote many times in the same poll)
Upper Deck has both of these options set or we would be allowed to vote as many times as possible. Apparently, we are three days behind the "clear your cookie" and vote again unwritten rule that is out there. I'm going to wait to hear what Upper Deck says on this matter.

So if you vote once on your computer and then a day later on your phone is that allowed?

I would just vote once and I want to see our site win as much as anyone but not to the point of bending the rules. I don't care about the prizes, I just wanted our site to be recognized as one of the best. I've been a member on this site for the past seven years or so and it is the best, IMHO, but I'm not going to degrade other sites for the benefit of ours. We're all in it for the same purpose, to have fun. Which I think has gotten lost in all the mess.
