Volchenkov almost ready to return
The Ottawa Senators could have defenceman Anton Volchenkov back in the lineup when they try to clinch a playoff spot against the Carolina Hurricanes Thursday night.
Volchenkov has been out of the lineup with an upper body injury since accidentally colliding with fellow defenceman Andy Sutton in front of the Ottawa net Saturday night.
He skated with injured winger Milan Michalek Wednesday, while the rest of his teammates took part in off-ice workouts.
