eBay - No Fee Auctions if start under $1

It looks like as long as you start the auction under $1 it is free to list. Of course other fees still apply!
EDIT: This does not apply to those with eBay stores. It also looks like this is good ONLY for your first 100 listings. Please make sure you read all the details before listing!

Yup, new fee structure went into effect March 30th. There should be a flood of crap on the bay soon

I saw a crazy listing! It was a NASCAR autograph (forgot the driver) bid started at 99 cents......but shipping was $11!

It's odd because for some categories of items, ebay has shipping caps in place. I think it was for a video game I was selling, I couldn't select more than $4.00 for shipping.
I wish they would do this for more items where its easy to gauge the cost of shipping- like cards.

This is very deceptive.
If you own an ebay store (which you pay either $14.95, $49.95 or $249.95) per month to operate, THIS DOESN'T APPLY!!

I got excited when I first read it as well on ebay... but I wanted to keep certain high items up as store inventory...thinking I'd get 100 free auctions.
