Dad's collection
My Dad has a card collection. Mostly baseball but also football, cars, motorcycles, superheroes, airplanes, basketball, ........ He is ready to get rid of it but is not in the capacity to do so. He has asked me to take care of it for him and he isn't offering up much for suggestions. I started getting them together and so far have estimated about 75,000 cards figuring I will get close to 100,000. I live in a VERY small town with not much around that would have reputable places to go to. Any suggestions who I turn to that will take a good look and get me a buyer for a fair price?

Dusty is correct. 75K cards so far and finding more. I don't really know what he has. I think most of his collection is from late 80's to current. I know there are some modern day heroes (80's-current), but nothing like a Ruth or Mays.

Where are you located ? You may be able to find a local collector on here that would help you out. If your close to me I know I wouldnt mind helping, I love looking at cards whether there mine or not and whether I have a chance at them or not.

Just to kinda give you an idea what to expect. I buy collections through Craigslist and usually pay 6-8 dollars per 3200 ct box for cards like you are talking about.... Late 80's through present.

FlyersFan, I am in midwest Wisconsin. After more digging I am probably over 100,000 cards. He has a few rookie cards. One I remember is Deion Sanders. He has some older 3D cards and some older multiple image cards (I think it is called a lenticular image.) He also has puzzle cards, many boxes of unopened packages, unopened boxes and the really shiny reflective cards.
If anyone knows of a reputable dealers or buyers in western Wisconsin, eastern Minnesota or Northern Iowa, please let me know.
