I plan to get the 2nd gen when the add the camera, USB port and more than one speaker.

I don't think I'll be in the market for this. I have a touch and a MAC and am waiting for the 4G iphone to be released so I don't have much use for it at this time. Although it looks really sweet. If I traveled a lot I'd probably buy one.

When is the 4G coming out? I'm due for an iPhone upgrade in July.

They haven't announced a 4G yet, but it's speculated in may or june from what I have read. The thought was they were not announcing it until the iPad was released to not steal it's thunder. I hope it's soon, because I want to get one and hate to get the latest one only to find out a new one will be out in a month or two, if that is the case.

That's my fear that I don't want to upgrade to the 3GS only to have the 4G come out later.

I have an iPhone 3gS and there's no reason for me to get an ipad when all it is is a hig iPod touch. I'll pass until they make it worth actually buying

IMO, right now my view of it is an oversized iPod Touch/iPhone.. of course with other features. Having a touch right now I think I'm all set for now.. if they come out with a 2nd gen with more things like, yes, USB, maybe i'd look at it someday.
