    A sad day for me

I just got word of this about an hour ago.
My Aunt Brenna (father's side of the family) was diagnosed and treated today for bladder cancer. She had told the family something just felt wrong, this was a little over a month ago. She said for the past 2 weeks, whenever she would use the bathroom, blood would follow out with it. We knew she was going to have a check-up with the doctor at about 10 AM. Thats when it all went downhill. The doctor did not say what was wrong, just gave her friend driving her a note in a sealed envelope, and said not to look in the envelope and go directly to the hospital. At around 11 AM, she got the news. Between 12 and 8 PM she was in for surgery. It must have been very painful. She was not allowed to be knocked out, something about she is needed to be awake. Her entire insides had to be removed. By insides I mean her ovaries, intestines and stomach. My heart goes out to her and her 3 teen kids, also having a divorce 3 months ago.
She is alive and well after the surgery, but is in intensive care, and will not be home for a few weeks, 2 months at most.

Thanks for reading, I needed to vent.

Extremely painful it must have been. Atleast we still have her, it could be worse. Doctor said if she waited just 2 months more, we may not have her at all.
