2003 World Series Ring
Just in case you have not seen a WS ring up close, below is the one on Mike Hill's (Marlins GM) finger. I asked him to let me take a picture of it...

That is awesome! The first one I saw in person was on Jose Rijo. He actually was given one for being on a Dodgers team that he played very little for at the end of his time in the Bigs.

Sweet ring! Only one I ever saw up front was when I tagged along with my dad to meet Dave Kingman. As a kid I was blown away by it. I really do not remember him. All I remember was my dad thinking he was an incredibly nice guy and that amazin' (get it...cheap pun) ring.
My bro's best friend has a handful (literally) of College Bowl Rings - played at West Virginia for 4 years, got himself 4 rings. They are big enough to knock a fool out with.Last edited by JVazz29; 04-04-2010 at 12:11 AM.

At the HOF they have a whole display of world series rings from each year and it is just mind blowing the size and for lack a better term "bling" the recent rings have.

It seems that they are very generous to whom they give them out to when they win as well. Then again the total cost is less than a veteran backup infielder!

I believe Edgerrin James was offered a Super Bowl ring although he had played for the Cardinals the year the Colts won. He wasn't even apart of the team, but they figured, "Hey, you just left us during free agency...you helped us get to this point - here have a ring."
Think he turned it down.
