Easter earthquake...
Eating dinner at the gf's house then I felt the ground moving for about 45 seconds. I'm in the Pasadena/Altadena area of California and I actually felt the rocking was pretty gentle compared to some other earthquakes I've felt--no damage here or even any noise from rumbling. But according to the news, it was a 6.9 magnitude quake centered 19 miles southeast of Mexicali, Mexico. Here's hoping that no one got injured...

News reports rate it as a 7.2, here is a website where you can monitor the worlds shakes: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/index.php
*note that even my state (WV) was effected with a 3.4 a few days ago, rare.

yeah, I heard two were killed. a man who's house collapsed and another man who ran into the street and was hit by a car.
The interesting thing is that it was stronger than the earthquake in Haiti.

It's just that Haiti didn't have the proper foundation to keep up the buildings.
