    Light damage?

I recently bought a frame type thing that holds some of my TTMs so I can hang it on the wall in my room. Should I be concerned about light damage to the cards/autographs, or will my room be fine? I want to hang them on my wall, but not at the expense of the cards or autos. Thanks.

Be sure to avoid ANY direct sunlight from windows or skylights.

But my lightbulb light won't damage it? Just sunlight will?

If you want to invest the money you can replace the glass in the frame with glass that prevents light damage. I think its called UV glass or something along those lines. A frame shop should sell it.

UV glass is well worth it, especially if it is of great value to you. My dad invested the money into that stuff and his 1967 Mickey Mantle mini poster (signed by the Mick) has been hanging proudly in the house for, I dunno almost 20 years or so. There is absolutely no damage or fading to it.

Okay, it's not like glass, it's separate plastic protectors.

I think it's better safe than sorry, so if there's potential for damage, I won't hang it up.

I avoid direct sunlight when displaying any of my autos. The UV's from the sunlight will do the most damage. If you are willing to invest in glass that offers UV protection, the money will be spent wisely. Good luck.
