Just wanted to get opinions from others on this, but is there really a need for me to grade my cards for putting them into my inventory database. Does anybody else grade every single card they have? If so, how detailed are you?

I figure I will of course when I'm uploading the cards to my store, or buying/selling/trading on here. But as for just a bunch of commons, is it all that necessary?

If they are near mint or better I usually don't. If they are vintage I would grade them.

yea, well if they are newer most of them are in near-mint or better anyway. My problem is coming with those bunch of commons from da 90's that are a lil bit roughed up and are not NM but not poor...I'm having a tough time deciding what they are. Any tips to simplify this?

ok, so jus for fun I purchased a few grab bags in addition to my packs of cards I bought last time I was at a card store. Well, I'm goin thru em and find that a simple Barry Zito base card has the price sticker on the card...lol not the sleeve.

I peeled it off and wiped da surface junk off where looking at the card you can't notice.

What would you grade this card? Can it still be near-mint and jus consider it to have that one flaw?

Yes, Be Honest, state that it had a sticker on and You removed it, but no damage has occurred.

Do you have a Photobucket? I find it much easier, and the trader/Buyer can see the condition, or atleast get a decent idea, enough atleast to ask a question about it.

right and I will definately do that when I would attempt to sell this card...as for my own inventory tracking purposes, I jus wanted to know what you guys would do. As for the card, it now has a smudge that can only be seen when reflected in da right light.

Is there an easy way to go by to see if the card is near-mint, excellent, good, etc.????

If it's noticable by you, then it will be by others too.
So I wouldn't call it NM, I quess, But that's just me
