Here's what I did for a North Stars project. It's roughly 32" x 30" x 2" and looks really good on the wall. The cards are held in by poster board behind the matting and therefore can be cut to the size of the card. On the downside, it was expensive, it's heavy and has glass. Therefore maybe not an ideal decoration for a baby's room. I have a couple more like it and hope to have more made in the future.

You can buy these from Ultra-Pro at hobby shops:

They come in various sizes ranging from 1-9 cards.

I wish I had the know-how to DIY. I had it done through a professional frame shop where the framer had done a bit of work for a friend of mine but it still was a bit expensive even with a nice discount. I had it double matted and cuts for 30 cards. I'm happy with the results though as it looks 100 times better than the cheap card displays I got at a craft shop for around $40.

They can't hold slabbed cards unfortunately.

I like it, but are the cards accessible? I mean can you remove them and replace them? Still not sure if I want to wall mount my cards though.

Shadow boxes are nice I make them for clients here in Ottawa.
fairly easy to make as well.
Ultra pro makes neat little stands for the cards as well.
Which work really well in this application.

That's what I like about the frame. You can remove the back and switch them however you want. The picture I used has changed quite a bit as I've found better or more interesting cards. The only limit is the number of cards and the vertical or horizontal aspect. I'm hoping to do a similar frame with the 04-05 ITG Ultimate Broad street Bullies auto set which are slabbed. Will just have to cut the poster board to size and have the matting just display the card without the label.
