2010 Topps Pro Debut Box Break

As I was walking down 5th avenue in Manhattan, on my way to my best friend’s birthday dinner in Korea town, I stumbled upon a New York local who sells packs and boxes on a street corner. His little table on the corner of 43rd and 5th Avenue was a favorite stop of mine, when I was a lowly intern at an accounting firm around the corner. Now that my office sits above beautiful central park on 5th avenue and 58th st., I haven’t been able to visit that stand that I spent fi™™™™l of dollars at only 5 years ago. I picked up one and a half boxes of new products that just came onto the market, including this full sealed box of 2010 Topps Pro Debut. I have heard some pretty good reviews about the product and wanted to get my shot at the coveted (and unpulled) Jason Heyward logo patch and at the price of $70, I thought it wasn’t that bad of a deal. Here is how I did:

A lot of the Minor League All-Star cards including the Jesus Montero

    Blue:
    Wade Gaynor 254/259
    Reese Havens 79/259
    David Hale 172/259
    Che-Hsuan Lin 17/259
    Ethan Martin 233/359
    Grant Desme 231/259
    Myrid Richard 128/259

    Gold:
    Alexia Amarista 16/50

    Hall of Fame Stars:
    Phil Rizzuto
    Joe Morgan

    Autos:
    Niko Vasquez
    Jeremy Farrell

    Jersey:

Really awesome jumbo jersey, with the Majestic Logo (Logoman?)
    of

    Madison Bumgarner Gold 4/25

Pretty solid break, but I think for $70 it’s pretty expensive. I know that the patches and the jumbo jerseys are all the faze in this market, but I can’t see how it can go up. The autographed prospects are stickers, which I am not a big fan of and I think that if Topps put a Chrome subset that was numbered (similar to the 2009-10 Basketball product) this product would be absolutely packed. It should be interesting to see now that everyone seems to be a prospector.
