Djauwerda's IP Success Thread...
Took my son to the Chicago Rush Open House a couple weeks back. He got the whole team, coaching staff, and a couple cheerleaders on a custom 8 X 10 I made for him. I got most everyone on the mini, but ran out of room for a couple names. Here's us with our haul!

Dan Pasqua was signing at a local card show yesterday. The show was advertised, but it was not advertised that he was charging $10 bucks a sig. I only had $11 in my wallet, so my son ended up with his signature on a 1991 Upper Deck card, it looked good.

Had a really cool opportunity to spend about 2 hours with Desmond Clark of the Chicago Bears on Saturday night. I'll post a copy of my custom 8 X 10 he signed when I can, but I gotta say, he is one cool dude. Very down to earth, easy to talk to. Had a fantastic time.

Picked up Starlin Castro on a ROLMB on Saturday. He smiled, but didn't say anything. Did sign on the SS and added his number as well.

Went to the Chicago Bears Training Camp tonight, came home with a good chunk of autos.

My son was able to get Johnny Knox on a hat, too...
Very impressed with the Bears and their signing. Many players stayed after to sign.

Took my kids to Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm in Hampshire, Illinois and found Jake Goebbert, an outfielder in the Astros' farm system, working the kettle corn stand. He had 98 RBI's for Lexington (High A) last season. Great kid. I asked if I could send him a ball and he left the stand and ran to the house (his parents own the farm) and came out with a signed card for my son and me. Got a pic with him... I'll get it up later.

Had a student go to the Blackhawks game last night and had her take a few new customs of Cliff Koroll for him to sign. She came back with 7/8 signed and an 8.5 X 11 personalized to me as well.
If anyone wants one of the Koroll customs. I have a few to trade.

Had the pleasure of meeting Ben Zobrist at Olivet Nazarene University tonight. He worked a free kids clinic, then signed for everyone afterwards. My son and I came home with 3 customs (seen below) and a poster from the FCA's "Share the Vision" magazine. Mr. Zobrist was a class act, took his time, even asked to keep a few copies of my custom! There was only about 50-70 people there, so it was a light crowd. We had a fabulous time.
