    In 2011, Xcel marks spot for NHL draft

    Along with giving fans a chance to see the stars who will shape the league's future, the event will be an economic boon. The Wild also hopes to land an outdoor game.

    Good for them! I do hope Minnesota gets an outdoor game soon, but I don't think the league currently views it as a game that would get good ratings on TV. I would love to be wrong about that, but I wonder what team would play against Minnesota that would bring decent ratings. Tampa Bay for Stamkos? Islanders for Tavares? Personally, I think think it would be a dud for the ratings, but I would love to see the Dallas Stars in an outdoor game against the Wild. Would have been even better if they had done it when Modano was still relevant.
