Why GSP will beat Anderson Silva
At 170 GSP will beat Anderson Silva. I have three reasons:
- 15 pounds is too much weight for him to cut without losing some cardio. At 35 he is no spring chicken! Also, Anderson already looks lean! He will likely be losing so much water weight (thus the cardio) or he will be trimming a lot of muscle.
- His cardio looked suspect in the third round of the Maia fight. GSP is young and a beast and will take him down and test him
- Maia was catching Silva with punches and GSP is a better striker than Maia
I'd say if their is a catch weight Anderson Silva has a better shot, but at 170 I'll take GSP winning by 5 rounds.

i think gsp would have to move up silva wont drop another weight class. But if gsp gets up to 185 he will beat silva with his takedowns and ground and pound

Yea, but GSP walks around near middleweight to begin with...may as well just go up and beat Silva... someone needs to, I'm tired of his antics!

It all depends on who shows up. Silva the fighter or Silva the entertainer.

I honestly dont think silva is dumb enough to screw around while in the ring with someone of GSP's caliber.

This fight must happen.
I can't stand Silva and his pure disrespect for his past few opponents.
If he's going to clown around like that he at least needs to finish the fight.

I dont know that i really want to see this fight. It sounds great to everyone because of its SuperFight status but i dunno. You have anderson who hasnt been engaging and you have GSP who will most likely try to take it to the ground and have his corner tell him not to pass his guard. I like GSP but if the right Silva comes to the fight i see him having his way with him. Just my opinion. I think it also depends on what weight they fight at.

Silva and GSP will just dance around each other for 5 rounds. GSP is afraid to lose and Silva won't engage.

Most likely doesn't matter anyways.... Dana was so upset at Anderson he said he wasn't interested in a Silva/GSP fight now...
