It says "Your typing speed was 94 words per minute with 3 errors. Your calculated speed is: 59 words per minute."

I took typing lessons in 7th grade but kept getting censured for using just five fingers (all left hand fingers except the pinkie, along with my right index finger; oddly enough, I'm right-handed).

I've always typed that way and can't imagine doing it any other way, though. :)

For this test, I didn't use any backspacing to correct my errors, which explains why they are somewhat high. I make some mid-stream errors when I type, so without the use of backspacing, my accuracy isn't as good as it could be. I'm also too stubborn to change the aforementioned typing habits, which could also play a role.

My brother is the same way. He doesn't use proper finger position either but is still blazing fast. I don't know how his accuracy is though. As for mine, I can tell when I make an error and just instinctively backspace without even thinking about it. If it wasn't for that my speed would probably be higher.

Ok...they have a decent typing test...they need to improve their math skills though!

I have noticed that if you start to type and make an error like add an extra letter to a word, it screws EVERYTHING up. The letters need to match right below each other otherwise it will count as an error, even if you type every other word right.

My result - 'Your typing speed was 96 words per minute with 5 errors. Your calculated speed is: 71 words per minute.'
