Regular season success against a particular team means nothing. I won’t even talk about it. However, the Philadelphia Flyers are coming into the playoffs with a head of steam, their goaltender, Brian Boucher has some additional confidence, and Scott Hartnell will bother Martin Brodeur for certain. All this will add up to some marginal success for Philadelphia and I will explain why.

Boucher has played better lately but his lateral movement has been suspect and the Devils will use their team speed and hard work to get him moving especially in the crease. Players like Zach Parise and David Clarkson will benefit from this. Ilya Kovalchuk could kill the Flyers if Daniel Carcillo puts him and the rest of the Devils on the power play with undisciplined play.
