Huh? Ebay question
Hey everyone, yesterday the auction for a card I was bidding on ended, and at the time I was highest bidder. a few minutes later I got a bid cancellation E-mail from ebay, which told me to check the bid history for why my bid was removed. when I went to look, the auction showed no bids. can anyone let me know what happened here? Im still mostly new to ebay. the auction can be found here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160423548705

He probably canceled it seeing you got a crazy deal on it. It isn't right to do that though, I'd look into it more.

Thanks for the quick answer, I knew the price was too good to be true

EDIT: should I try to report this or just let it go until I see it again?

The same thing happened to me yesterday as well and has happened before. Some one probably emailed the seller and made an offer so they closed the listing or they were not happy with the price so far and pulled the pin. Yesterday was the first time i got that type of bid cancellation notification. It was slightly different then ones i got in the past.

Yea, Looks like it sold for $5 and he wasn't happy with the price so claimed he made an error with the listing or something of that nature. Definitely not cool.

I didn't think you could end auctions that had less than 24 hours left, but maybe I'm wrong.

Seller can end the auction at anytime, for any reason (until after it ends). Report it to eBay if you want - but the seller did nothing against eBay's terms of service. He'll still have to pay his listing fees, so eBay has no problem with what he's done.
Is it ethical? No. Against the rules? Also no.
