    Spurs @ Mavericks game 1

Game is on TNT...middle of the 2nd quarter, and Dallas leads 36-33. It's an old-fashioned Texas duel!

Game is tied at 54 with about 8:30 left in the 3rd. Very evenly matched game so far!

    Hate the Spurs. Go Mavs!!!

IMO Dirk is one of the most underrated players in the league. He is easily one of the top 5 players in the NBA and is starting to hit his prime. Even when he will start to decline, he still could easily make 20 points a night with almost 10 boards.

Mavs win 100-94. That was a close game from wire-to-wire, pretty much. Could've gone either way, really.

Don't forget Caron Butler, who chipped in with 22 points and 3 steals. This guy is such a beast.

No Spurs player could so much as to breathe on Nowitzki without getting called for a foul.

Its no coincidence that the Mavs are the #1 FT shooting team in the NBA and took 20 more foul shots then the Spurs last night. 20!

If I was the Mavs I'd be a bit scared. Nowitzki was on fire. Kidd and Butler had great games. And you still only won by 6 points?

Ehhh. I'm a Spurs fan too and the FT disparity is nothing new. This is the same team that shot 50 FTA vs them. They should know by now how to cover the straw man. The Spurs just need to watch the TOs and stop playing anyone who's not productive *cough*Bonner/RMJ*cough*. If they got more production out of the other guys it wouldn't have mattered.

That was painful to watch, Dirk would almost flop on every shot when the defender's hands were just up in the air and he'd get the call. Parker hasn't been the same since his injury, his jump shot isn't there. Good game by the Mavs though, Butler stepped it up, and even Kidd made some big shots to stop runs
