    Yes, compared to the base set they are. You get a complete base set in about 2 boxes. It takes 9 boxes to complete the Young Guns. A short print only means there are less of those cards than the base set and they are part of the set. Nothing else. The fact that there are thousands of each young gun has no bearing on whether it is a short print.

    Crosby year was the height of production and came in at around 10,000 copies in Hobby wax alone. Retail likely added another 3-5K. As for being SP'd - yes they fit the definition of a SP.
