The standard sized cards have a full color action shot of the listed player. The card fronts are bordered with a white and beige design that frames the shot. The color photo fades to white toward the bottom. The player, team and set manes are all listed at the card bottom in back boxes. Occasionally, the action photo will extend or jump out beyond the border. This usually happens with a picture where the player is in mid-shot. The card backs have a different color head shot of the named player. They also list moderate career highlights and recent years statistics. The card back are trimmed in the teams primary color. the cards are easily sorted as the teams are together although not in alphabetical team order. the card fronts have a standard gloss to them while the backs are a little less shiny.

The Bottom Line:
The gerat collation (no dupes) and small base set will make this a very easy base set to complete with one and a half to two boxes. A very simple, almost 'classic' designed card front is very appealing. I really like the action shots that jump out of the card borders. The teams being all together makes for easy sorting. The "Legends' numbered inserts make for a nice mix of current and retired players in this product. The on-card autos are a huge plus! While the base cards do look nice, I would have liked to have seen a little more variety in the shot selection. They all look the same after a while. It would have been nice to throw in a horizontal shot, two players fighting for a ball or both going for a rebound, or a blocked shot. I also feel that this product was a little insert heavy. I would have liked half as many inserts and be that much closer to completing the base set. Or else not have the un-numbered 'base' insert cards and have all of the inserts be serial numbered.
The Bottom Line: Overall a very fun rip! A good quality mid-rage product that yo can easily get the base set from. There are redemption cards in 'Classics' although I did not pull any. There is nothing to flashy with this product, but maybe that is what gives it the 'Classic' feel! I recommend to buy a box or two, complete your base set and trade me your Yao Ming cards!
The Final Score:

Great review and nice Tyreke,
Though I personally find both the base cards and just about all the inserts from this set to be really dull. Likewise with the parallels. The faded effect and the huge borders on the base cards leave too little actually on each different card.
