Were the boxes shrink wrapped with UD plastic?
It certainately wouldn't be that hard to search packs and then re-package and re-shrinkwrap the boxes if you had the right equipment, but I would hope that it would be very difficult to get your hands on that shrinkwrap with the UD logo's.

what's weird about this:
if the seller is a conman, why does he risk to be revealed with not including AUs in the probably resealed boxes.
if you would have come across 3 no name AUs in those boxes you would have thought of bad luck.
but zero AUs in 3 Boxes, i don't think thats possible.

What he said.....
Support your local card shop. They have an interest in you getting the good cards.

I've heard from more than a few people that they order cases and break until they get the hits and sell off the boxes. I've bought two boxes before that I took out of the case myself and they were crap. But that wasn't SPGU, I always get one upper tier card (dual patch, patch AU or dual patch/AU) per box with that. I really am a fan of that product.

Sorry to hear about your bad break, I would agree with the rest of the comments, these boxes were searched, there's no way you can get 4 boxes with nothing....specially in the SPGU.
Even with the UD shrink wrap doesn't mean they haven't been searched, some of these con artists have managed to print their own shrink wrap with UD logo's. They open the box, go thru the packs, re-seal them, then seal the box...it's crazy but it's happening more then we think. I have bought about 5 or 6 boxes off e-bay and in none of those boxes did I ever get a hit ...what are they odss of that happening.
The moral of the story, don't buy boxes of E-Bay.

so my friend called upper deck with the serial numbers and they said they couldn't do anything, each box was from a different case and as long as it got the 1 memorabilia card per pack they were fine also we should of gotten a card #100 or less in each box which we did, i think he also said there usually is an auto per box on avg so he was going to send us 3 autos... Seller was keeping in touch with my buddy for a while but apparently now he is no longer a registered user anymore... from what i've seen most likely the seller did it by weight as each box seemed to contain the exact same type of hits

Bingo, this is becoming a major problem with The Cup as well, a lot of searching and resealing. The seller being from California and with the UD employment situation, well, many things could be happening there.
I would never buy a box off EBAY unless it was being sold by Dave & Adams, Pittsburgh Sports, or Blowout.
