Garnett suspended for game 2 of series with Miami Heat
NEW YORK (AP)—Kevin Garnett has been suspended by the NBA for the Boston Celtics second playoff game against the Miami Heat.
The one-game suspension was imposed Sunday for hitting Quentin Richardson of the Miami Heat in the head with an elbow with 40 seconds left in Boston’s 85-76 win in Game 1 on Saturday night.
The league also fined Richardson $25,000.

Not surprised whatsoever...it'll be interesting to see what the Heat do now that they know KG won't be playing.

Not a problem, the Heat can't beat the Celtics period.

Look at the matchups during the regular season:
First game - 92-85 win in Miami
Second game - no KG, 112-106 OT win in Miami
Third game - no Pierce, 107-102 win in Boston
Doesn't look like there was much of a difference between being fully healthy and not.

Nathan, just goin back to what you said in that post:
I don't think it'd be a problem either, but KG better keep his mouth shut and the fights better stop now, or else we might actually lose a game or two, or worst thing a fight happens in the 2nd round (assuming they make it that far) and have the disadvantage of no KG.

Yeah, as KG said, they need to be calm, cool and collected about things...no need to get stupid fouls on things. I don't think KG will do something like this again.

I have to agree.......he has turned into more mouth than talent.
With that being said......they will get past the Heat anyway.

KG is one of the most intense players ive ever seen when i was at the game saturday before every quarter he was about 20 feet away from me in front of the basket talking to him self and getting into the zone he isnt just a thug going around looking to start trouble he pores his heart and soul into this game richardson had no right to stand over pierce and im in no way saying what kg did was ok but the intense level that he plays at going into a situation that happend like that i can understand how that happend.

Do you know how many players in the NBA pour their heart and soul into every game? And do you know how many of those said players DON'T act like a playground bully like KG does?
There's no excuse for how he acts, plain and simple.
