STAPLES Center Erupts For Playoff Hockey
By Andrew Howard
Even before the ear-splitting, towel-waving frenzy that accompanied the Los Angeles Kings entrance onto the ice at STAPLES Center, there was a party in the concourses.
For the first time since 2002 there was a playoff hockey game at the STAPLES Center, and the fans made sure to celebrate every moment of it.
The entrances were packed an hour and a half before face-off with long lines of anxious fans waiting to be let inside.

For those who don't regularly watch the Kings on TV, Staples center is a joke half the time. It is so quiet in there and it was really sad to see how our fans didn't make much noise. Fast forward to Game 3, it was CRAZY! It was so nice to see the fans in attendance making some noise. I know it had to have an affect on our boys. So keep it up Kings fans and lets pull out another win tonight!

I'm not really surprised that it is dead is LA most games. No playoffs for 8 years going to hurt fan support that is for sure. Wonder what iwas the average attendance during the regular season this year? Sure was PACKED and LOUD for game 3!

I THINK it was like 15,000 when the average the last few years was like 16,000 but don't quote me on it
