THEY SAID WHAT?????
"I just want to get some rest." - D Brooks Orpik on the Penguins' plans after bouncing Ottawa in Game 6
“We talked about getting traffic, we talked about getting pucks through, and we executed—that’s the difference,” Crosby said. “When you do the right things, you give yourself a chance. We got some good areas to get shots away. I still think we can get more shots, still think we can generate more.”
“We watched some tapes and just tried to exploit their weaknesses,” Letang said. “Special teams always comes up big in the playoffs.”
Staal is a Selke Trophy finalist for defensive play by a forward and almost always goes against an opponent’s top line. “He’s a horse, he doesn’t miss games, he’s our iron man,” Dupuis said. “He must have been really injured not to come back.”
--------------------
"I don't think they wanted to be here (Monday) and I don't think they want to be going back home for Game 7," said Michael Cammalleri, who had two goals and an assist Monday night.
"This was one of those nights when everything seemed to be in slow motion and you think you can stop everything." -- Canadiens goaltender Jaroslav Halak, on his 53-save performance against Washington.
“They beat us in the special teams department,” Montreal forward Scott Gomez(notes) said. “I mean there’s a reason they hoisted the Cup last year. If you make mistakes, they’re going to jump on them.”
"He's the best player in the world. Playing against him is tough. You see how fast he is and how strong he is on the puck. I knew it was going to be a challenge to go up against him. He's great." -- Montreal rookie defenseman P.K. Subban, talking about playing Pittsburgh captain Sidney Crosby for the first time.
"It's not just moving the puck. They move around a lot, and it's tough to get into their shooting lanes because they're in constant movement and they don't hold on to the puck very long." -- Defenseman Josh Gorges on the problems presented by the Pittsburgh power play.

Very nice work Chris! I'm going with Habs in 6 (anybody surprised? lol)

oh and here's my round 2 prayer:
Our Ghosts in heaven
Inspired may we be by your names
May your winning ways be repeated
and your torch be passed
Give us a win in game one
Forgive our occasional lack of skill
As we forgive the Pens for having so bloody much
Lead us into round 3
and deliver us from Crosby
For the 25th,
The Power and the Glory are ours
Now and in June,
Amen!
GO HABS GO!!!!Last edited by Pheebs888; 04-29-2010 at 11:31 AM.

What nobody realizes is that the Habs logo in Karine's photo is actually a to-scale snapshot of Hal Gill's jersey. He's a monster!
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Note to Staff, is it wise to have one thread for an entire series? Personally I like the day by day threads. Less scrolling for a certain post.
