The sportscasters are this years version of last year's exhbits. They are all low numbered but there are something like 40 variations per player, and they book pretty low (a berra #/24 from last year was $12). As for Crouthers, sounds like a prospect to me. I think this is the guy who just got traded to Chicago for Sosa, he supposedly has a decent looking future. Find a Sosa article you should be able to find more on him.

The Chicago Cubs traded OF Sammy Sosa and $8.15 million to the Baltimore Orioles for 2B Jerry Hairston Jr., 2B Mike Fontenot and RHP Dave Crouthers.
(Updated 02/03/2005).
Fantasy Analysis
Crouthers is a 25-year-old right-hander who spent last season in Double-A. He went 9-9 with 5.03 ERA -- not exactly numbers that intrigue Fantasy owners. He clearly needs more time in the minors and perhaps even as low a Double-A.

he is a mid range prospect; I think they have him projected as a mid rotation starter

David Crouthers, RHP: The 24-year-old started 27 games for Double-A Bowie last season, but the Orioles were considering converting him to a reliever at some point, which is what the Cubs might do as well. He went 9-9 in 140 innings, with a 5.03 ERA and 138 strikeouts. He is still a year or two from seeing time in the bigs.
