Netflix streaming videos
My wife and I, are thinking about dropping our premium cable channels and switch over to Netflix’s streaming videos. Has anyone tried Netflix’s streaming service yet? If so, what hardware did you use to watch it with? Wii, PS3, Xbox… How was the picture quality?

We have Netflix and love it. It's great being able to watch many movies online whenever you want. Also, I have a PS3 and all you need is their disc to stream movies through your PS3. Easy setup and a great option for additional movies.

it works great as long as you have a great internet pipe. if you have a slower connection you may not enjoy it.
Netflix has the free month I believe, so try it before dropping your current setup.
I have it on the ps3, the 360 and my gf's blu ray player @ her place and as we both have cable connections we have little to no problems most of the time.

I use it on the 360 and ps3. If you have a decent pipe, it works great. The HD versions are right nice for being streamed as well.
Things can get spotty over wi-fi, but still not bad at all. I wish they had a bigger selection though. Also, of the two systems, the 360 by far has the better interface.
Oh and for overall picture quality - if you have the bandwidth to stream at full quality, it looks great. Even non-hd stuff is decent. But once you drop a few "bars" on their little signal meter it degrades and can look pretty blocky.

Thanks for the feedback. I have DSL right now and I usually get about 2.5-3mb DL speeds.

I have a connection that hits around 3 mb dl speed, and we stream netflix over wifi to our wii. In the 2 months we've had it - zero problems. Never has lagged or dropped the connection, or anything.
My wife and I are going to terminate our dish contract as soon as its up for renewal next month. Endless movies and TV shows on demand, and they add new stuff frequently.
