Super Bowl Box Breaks

I went to the Super Bowl card show today and busted a few boxes of cards. First i bought UD Foundations, for $109 a box. I was supposed to get two jerseys, two autos, and two rookies per box, which for $109, i thought was a pretty darn good deal.

In pack #3, i pulled an Aaron Brooks #ed to 10. I was feeling pretty good about the box when i saw that card.

But then 5 more packs went by, and then 6, 7,....finally pack number eight i pulled a tatum bell SP autograph worth $30.

I thought the guy had opened the box and pulled out all of the autos and jerseys, and then repackaged the dud packs when i was two thirds of the way through the box.

Finally, in pack number 18 i pulled the granddaddy of my card collection, a Ben Roethlisberger SP Autograph worth $350!!!

My dad almost pissed his pants, so when he got back to the table, he wanted to open three of the last six packs, since he knew it wouldn't be his fault if i didn't meet the estimated odds on the box (i had pulled a devery henderson rookie jersey and the tatum bell, and ben roethlisberger autos by then, so i was still a rookie and a jersey short)

The first pack he opens of the day, BAM! Roethlisberger/Rivers dual auto worth $450!!! He wanted to stop there, but his luck was too good today. He also pulled the other rookie, a Richard Colclough #ed to 350.

I'd have to say i was pretty pleased with this box. Three autos, one jersey, one rookie, over $850 worth of cards for $109.

Later on in the day i went back to the same booth and bought a box of Skybox LE for $79.

This box could never compare to the Foundations box, but i didn't do too bad on this one either

I don't really plan on keeping the roethlisbergers, if you wanna make me an offer before they hit eBay, feel free to hit me up.

yeah i know it was nuts...the guy who sold it to me said a guy bought a box of Contenders, and pulled two roethisbergers out of there too...which is why i went back for the LE, hoping to get lucky again

Are the McFarlanes Super Bowl Exclusives? Make me a cash price for the Leftwich piece and the Mewelde Moore you pulled.

Hey footballcard... Great box break on the foundations.. A couple of points I would like to add

1).. It is guaranteed 1 jersey and two autos for a foundations box..
2).. A third auto is ALWAYS great sign in those boxes, as you saw, it means a dual is in the box.

Congrats on the great rip.. I just thought id clear a few things up

ah ok thanks man, the sign on the post it note on the box said two rookies, two jerseys, two autos...maybe it was just that guy's experience with that box...i dunno
