Whats the model number? I work in IT and may be able to help. Do you have the Canon software installed on your PC?

I can't help you with the cannon problem.

But even if you have a big image, I can help with "making it smaller"

If you're working in windows, here's what you do:

    Open the image with Paint
At the top of the page you should see
"File Edit View Image Colors Help"

Click on Image. There should be a drop down menu where one of choices says
    Resize / Skew

    Click on that one.

Under the "Resize" section you shoudl see two "100" in boxes that you can edit. Just go in and change both of them to "50" and hit enter.

You just shrunk your image from 100% to 50% (half size).

Save the image and you're done. You can use this feature to shrink any image you've scanned.

    Hope this helps,
    Cheers,
    reoddai
