Concerns over dealing with persons under 18

    1. In the United States a private trade/sale is not valid unless unless both parties are over 18. This means anyone under 18 can decide to revoke the trade especially if the value is over $100 and they involve their parents.

    2. I consistently receive items that are so poorly packed I consider returning them. Based on my overall positive experiencing with users on this site I have to assume that those involved in these trades are not not mature enough to consider other people and are most likely children

I am confused with your point in #1. If a kid under 18 decides to "trade back", he is allowed to do that? If not, please clarify what you mean.

I think what he is trying to say is the anyone under the age of 18 is not legally a adult. And therefore is not legally boud to the "contract" of the trade or sale.

To comment on point 2, I have had several packages from people who I know where over the age of 18, that looked like a trained monkey could of done better. Now, that is from other forums. From here I have had nothing but the best experiences from other forum members.

dude cmon now. I'm 17. Been in this hobby for around 3 years now. Not once have I had a problem with how i've packaged my cards. Yeah, theres a few people who have no clue how to safely send a card but not all of them are under the age of 18.

And as for point #1....has ANYONE ever tried pulling this??? I highly doubt it. And if a kid did try it here, he would probably be banned.

I'm not sure what your concern is.

"Revoke the trade" would mean that both parties get their cards back. Okay, the trade doesn't happen, but its not a kid can get the cards, then say they don't want to trade and keep your end. Revoke applies to both parties.

As for 2, its not a kid thing. I've seen 40+ yr olds back in PWE and 11 yr olds who send appropriately.

If you have someone sending you items that are poorly packed, you need to try to work it out with the member who sent the cards and involve a Mod if the cards are damaged.

    Cheers,
    reoddai

I would say that the law is to protect the kid...

Sometimes the trade is better with younger collectors because they don't want to steal or sell you fake patches and other cards. Yeah, there are a lot mature and elder collector and a lot younger collector who send in PWE but you cannot say to each collector.
