I had much higher expectations for LeBron's supporting cast. Watching this series, I can honestly say I don't think he had any help. I heard a lot of talk about how Jamison was the final piece and Cleveland was a shoe-in for the title... but they just looked terrible this series. Mo Williams played alright, but it that's not enough. LeBron didn't play that bad IMO. He didn't take over in 5 or 6, but so what. Some people want him to be MJ or Kobe. He's not that type of player. He plays off his teammates way more than either of those guys. He created so many good looks for the guys around him, but his teammates just aren't that good. I think it'll be interesting to see how those guys play once LeBron is gone (assuming he leaves).

What I took away from this series is LeBron is the best player in the league and he doesn't have much legitimate talent around him. He's not a clutch-shooting closer like MJ or Kobe, but he's just an all-around amazing player. Again, not really a LeBron fan... just some observations I had.

I can kinda see your point here, but as much as I've admired LeBron's game in the past, he still needs to play with more killer instinct. Guys like Kobe and Jordan are/were more internal and play with more intense fire. I love his game, but if he wants titles and stuff, he needs to call the fire within and just take over when he needs to instead of wanting to please everyone. Sometimes instead of being unselfish and passing to the inferior open teammate, you gotta drive it to the bucket and finish with the easy one. Even Magic, gregarious and unselfish as he was, could take the final hook shot when called upon, and LeBron needs to learn that.

And Mo Williams was an All Star last year, he was to blame as well. Sure, he scored some points tonight, but didn't play any D. I think saying Cleveland didn't have a supporting cast is a copout.

Huge copout. Cavs were arguably the deepest team in the league this year, and LeBron EASILY had the most talent around him since he's been in Cleveland.

The bottom line is one team wanted it, and the other didn't.

I was shocked tonight when Lebron went and hid on the wing and stayed out of the plays... he was always back on defense instead of using his tight end body to crash the boards... I will say though i wouldnt be shocked at all to find out he was more injured than what he led on. If not though i have some 11 and 12 year olds on my little league baseball team that want a win more than lebron did tonight

cavs should have won this series.. they ARE the better team. just played weak i guess...?

oh well, Mr. Bryant Will OWN the celtics... if they make it that far.. that atleast makes me feel better about this whole situation.

If the Lakers make it that far too bud... ;-)

He's just not like that I don't think. Maybe I'm wrong. It just seems like some people are trying to put a square peg in a round hole as far as LeBron goes. People tend to focus on the final 60 seconds in lieu of the other 47 minutes a little too much. If you look at all 48 minutes, he's the best player out there. If we're talking last play of the game, who do I want on the floor as my #1 option... LeBron isn't even in my top 10.

Break out the egg nog, cuz Christmas is here early.

And as for all the stuck-up bean-scarfers out there suckin' down one nostril full of Old Bay-scented air after another, riding high enough to get buzzcuts from passing biplanes, oh, your day will come. Rest assured of this as certain as the sun rises in the east, rises to reveal a menace heretofore unknown to the mind of man from the shadows of Spaceship Earth. The instrument of your destruction is at hand, and its name is Magic.

Very well said... Playoffs is the same at the last 60 second comparison... he seems to hide but we have to remember... he is 24-25 years old. Still has time to get to the point of going for the jugular.

Thank you. Fans really deserve more than that. And this is for the Hawks and Spurs as well because it does apply. But as the Cavs go, the fact is that they've spent the last couple years bringing in some very good pieces to make this thing work. They've got the payroll to prove it. But they've got to come to play or it's money down the drain.

This is why MJ is the best player ever, he made it happen in the playoffs. He wanted the ball at the end of the game more than anyone.
