Former track star Marion Jones' WNBA debut uneventful

TULSA, Okla. (AP)—Marion Jones’ path to stardom in the WNBA won’t be a sprint.

The former Olympic track star had little impact in limited playing time in her debut for Tulsa on Saturday night as the relocated Shock lost their inaugural game in their new hometown 80-74 to the Minnesota Lynx.

Jones, who won a national championship for North Carolina in college, made her return to basketball after more than a decade away. In between, she was stripped of her five Olympic track medals—including three golds—and served time in prison for lying to federal investigator.

Glad to see that she made the final roster - I forgot she was trying out for a career in the league. She's the league's oldest rookie at 34.

You forgot about this? Come on, aren't you supposed to be the #1 WNBA fan?

I don't watch women's basketball unless includes Lisa Leslie and/or Candace Parker, but i've been checking this story sporadically. Hopefully she has some success, it's hard at 34 to get started.

Where did I say that I was the WNBA's #1 fan? I never have, and never would claim to be the #1 fan of anything or anyone...

I was just asking where I said that, or where it was perceived that I implied it, as I don't believe I have...that's all...not mad or anything ;-)
