    I like the look of the new ones. Only recommendation would be lowering the gradiant on the card and/or adding something to the bottom of the card to give it a bit more balance. The top half of the cards are really strong (or "heavy" as I call it). You could raise the player image and add a name bar with a similar effect that your cool background has and find that balance.

    A card with those kind of lines and edges could also work well with a solid signature area overlaying the player image. Puting a grunge edge around it and a drop shadow behind it would keep with the "feel" of the card.
