After I saw Jones commit to a long term deal yesterday I felt like that surely meant Alezander would catch the Franchise tag and stay in Seattle.
I mean Shaun is worth a Franchis tag 6 million Hassellbeck would get 9+ under the Franchise ruling. Clearly double what he is worth. Shaun is a top 5 back, Hasselbeck is not a top 5 QB. PERIOD. Hasselbeck is Holmgrens boy though, looks like these two will sink together. I know Holmgren doesnt like Alexander, but come on dont be stupid. Atleast if they Franchise Alexander they have a shot at some draft picks but tagging Hasselbeck doesnt help them at all cause no owner in his right mind would go after this guy when Warner, Garcia, Bledsoe etc are out there for free.
Purely comical if you ask me, a classic stupid move.
I hear T.O. and Mcnabb are trying to sell Alexander on the Eagles, also sources at the AP have said Vick and Alexander had Dinner together many times during ProBowl festivities. I hope one of these deals pans out anything is better than the Miami/Tampa situation yahoo reported on last week.
