Even though Brown wasn't a great coach, this still hurts the Cavs, unless they can sign Phil Jackson to a contract. Bringing in a new coach usually doesn't mean instant success - I wouldn't be surprised if the Cavs fall off quite a bit in this upcoming season, regardless of the Lebron situation.

I dunno, I think Mike Brown had accomplished just about all he could as their coach. Sometimes a group of players just need things shaken up, like Pat Riley taking over in Miami for instance. Of course, none of this matters if they don't resign Lebron.

Well, it would also hurt them to keep him - there really wasn't a winning situation for the Cavs, with or without Lebron.

I kinda expected this to happen since the news conference by the owner. Brown got out coached in the Boston series by Doc Rivers. Yes the players played the game but Brown never really figured out the adjustments needed in the last 2 games. If they can't lure Phil Jackson then Avery Johnson would be a nice fit. He seems to have that aggression as a coach that players respond to.

Mike Brown was like running a high school kid basketball team. There was no discipline. Look at what they did to Boston in regular season. They thought they could do whatever they wanted on other team when you were up 30pts. And now, Boston paid back to Cavs with ending their season early.

I don't even see Gregg Popovich and Jerry Sloan getting fired even though their teams didn't win it all. These coaches have game plan. They have PLAN. Mike Brown doesn't have plan, and he has no clue how to make the players to stick with the plan. Like why keep j.j. hickson in the trade with Stoudmire when Mike Brown doesn't even use Hickson at all in the playoff.

Bottom line is that, he deserves this fired.
