    Things to do in Boston?

I'm going to Boston in a 3-4 weeks and am looking for some cool things to do. I'm already going to catch a red sox game, but will have a day and a half to do some other things and wanted to see if anyone had some thoughts on things to do in Boston.

Take a historical tour of Boston. As a history nerd (and teacher), Boston is in my top cities to visit and tour. Lots of awesome historical sites in Boston. Old North Church, Boston Harbor, The Paul Revere House, JFK Presidential Library, Boston Tea Party Ship and Museum, Adams National Historic Park, U.S.S. Constitution, Bunker Hill, and the Faneuil Hall are all great historical places.

Another cool thing to do on the historical side of things would be to walk the "Freedom Trail." It's a path of red bricks that lead through downtown Boston to 16 significant historic sites.

Either way, just have fun and enjoy the culture!

^^^ I was just gonna mention the Freedom Trail. We did that when we were in Boston, very cool. Also I'd suggest Quincy Market if you're looking for a place (or 50) to eat, and don't forget to go to Cheers!

Might be able to catch a game at The Garden, if you enjoy playoff basketball...game 5 should be in about 3 weeks.

I'd say definitely go to that Sox game, Fenways one of the best places to be. I love visiting the Museum of Science too.

I know its usual but you should really walk around the streets of Boston. Very beautiful city.

Rent a car and drive an hour and a half west to tour the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Cheers is a good time. Go to the upstairs part of the bar. It looks like the TV set. My favorite bar was the Bell In Hand Tavern (America's oldest bar?). The bands that played while I was there were better than average. I took one of the duck tours around the city. That was fun. Go to Fenway on an off-day and take the tour. I think it's around $12.00. USS Constitution is America's oldest commissioned ship. My favorite food spot was Legal Sea Foods. Oh yeah, definitely take a tea bag to throw into the harbor.

As RChurchward mentioned those are the things to do. You can also add the Boston Museum of Science and the Boston Aquarium to the list if that interests you.
