    1972 topps set question

Hello, I have just dug out my old card collection. In 1972 I started collection for the fun of it and apparently I collected quite a few cards from this set. But I don't know much about it. I know I can check beckett and have but how do I determine which series I have. Does that go by the numbers on the cards 1 thru 351 ? or is that a complete set? I have cards 1 through 293. Now I'm thinking their authentic because I bought them myself and just put them away then and just hauled them out now. (i'm a pat's fan and they got me going again) so I guess I need help in determing exactly what I have. I do not live anywhere near a sport card shop. If you can shed some light would appreciate it.
    thanks.

Cards #264-351 were the THIRD series. They are considerably more difficult to find. If you have the following they are the good Rookie Cards:

    13 John Riggins
    55 Archie Manning
    65 Jim Plunkett
    93 Ted Hendricks
    101 L.C. Greenwood
    106 Lyle Alzado
    186 Gene Upshaw
    200 Roger Staubach
    244 Charlie Joiner
    291 Steve Spurrier

If you have cards 264-293 they average $30 or higher (high BV). You have a great set on your hands. If you want to get rid of them...let me know!
