http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=5212413
NEW YORK -- Former All-Star right-hander Jose Lima died Sunday morning at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 37.
The cause of death was ruled a heart attack, according to his wife, Dorca Astacio.
"Jose was complaining while sleeping and I just thought he was having a nightmare," Astacio told ESPNdeportes.com. "I called the paramedics, but they couldn't help him."
Lima was 89-102 in 13 seasons with the Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets.
He was selected to the All-Star Game with Houston in 1999, when he won a career-high 21 games. He didn't return to the major leagues after being released by the Mets in 2006, when he posted a 0-4 record.
Last winter, Lima played for the Aguilas Cibaenas in the Dominican Republic and had announced plans to do the same in the upcoming season.
RIP Mr. Lima

Jose Lima Dies of Heart Attack
I was at the Dodger game on Friday night and during the 4th inning they had a tribute about Lima and turns out he was in the stands. He got a standing ovation. But i'm shocked and sadden to see he has passed away.
He was very young, only 37 years old.

Back when he was with the Astros and at the top of his game he was on Jim Rome a few times. The guys was a great interview and sounded like he loved to play baseball. I'm sad to see him gone at such a young age. :(

That's so sad. He was with the Dodgers for only one season but he sure did have a big impact with the Dodgers and Dodger fans. He had just joined the Dodgers Alumni Association where former Dodgers reach out to the community. In fact, Jose Lima was in the middle of launching his new Dominican Baseball School at Jackie Robinson Park here in Pasadena, CA. Such a tragic loss...
