Contact the cards companies directly. If you own a shop you can deal directly with them as long as you have a actual store. The companies will not deal with someone who is running an internet business only. I hope this helps. Let me know how it turns out. What location are you thinking about opening your shop in.

There are alot of wholesalers out there that can sell to you. From experience though, follow the advice of Tommy251 and contact the card compaines. They will ask you to provide proof of a store (pic's of your store and address as well as tax id) but it is the only way you will get a good price on the product. I explored the option of opening a hobby store and even got an account with a wholesaler to start a business before I actually opened a store. What I found is that even buying through a wholesaler ebay prices are still just as good for high end boxes and cases. It is not easy to start from scratch since long time account holders with wholesalers get very large discounts so it is impossible to get a great price on a product starting out. Shoot me a pm and I will give you and example of prices for pre-sales from my wholesaler and you can compare them to ebay and any other information you can get.

    Hello,
I'm not a wholesaler in the true sense but I do specialize in bulk lots of players and teams as well as low end RCs and Inserts. I basically buy commons, show dealers 10˘ and 25˘ boxes in bulk and sort them down by players or teams. I'm sure you are looking more for wholesale wax and good buys on higher dollar cards, but I have a lot of shop owners that buy regional players and stars to fill their 10˘ and 25˘ boxes. Feel free to email me any questions that you may have or if you have any lists of players or types of cards that you are looking for in bulk. I also have a pretty good number of lots on eBay in my store.

That may give you an idea of what I have although I have a ton of stuff for sale that isn't up in the store. I look forward to possibly working with you.

    thanks,
    mark

Wholesaling is nice but from what I understand, the card companys require you to buy x amount of their product. That is good on some but you can get stuck with some really bad stuff that you will lose $ on.
