Really really sad day in baseball, although he saves some face by retiring.

If there was ever a person that everyone admired and liked on the face of the earth, it was and is Ken Griffey Jr. He was amazing and clearly if he would have been healthy for more of his career, he would have been the all-time home runs leader. He will be missed. Although there are probably millions of kids born everyday, there will NEVER be another Kid. "The Kid" ... the proud owner of the sweetest swing baseball has ever seen.

My favorite player when i was just getting into baseball at the age of 4... I was fortunate enough to see him hit a HR at Dodger stadium last season.

Very sad day. Seems like it was yesterday when Griffey and Frank Thomas were the top dogs in MLB. It's wierd to see people you grew up idolizing retire. What a great career though. If it wasn't for the injuries he may possibly the best all around player of all-time.
