Another guy at the top of my list was the Dragon, Lyoto Machida. There was a booth at the expo called Bony Acai (some kind of supplement) and Machida, Anderson Silva, and the Nogueira Bros were all there at various times during the expo. The line for Machida was also crazy long and right when I got to him, they ended the signing. (This was a problem the whole expo, they didn't cut lines off, so you could have waited in line for 1-2 hours only to have the signing end before you got there.) I was more than a little ™™™™™™, so I pleaded with the booth guy a bit with no success (dude was a total prick). However, Machida waived me over in spite of the booth guy, so I got a glove signed by him and a pic. Needless to say, I am now a huge Machida fan! I did feel bad for all the people behind me though as they waited in line for nothing.

haha, yeah I remember that line. It started at 10. I befriended the big black guy working there the first day. Gave him $20 and moved to the front of the line.

Yeah, I heard GSP's line was insane, I didn't even bother as it probably would have taken the enitre day! I was not a fan of the blue "volunteer" guys, it was one of them that prevented me from getting a better pic with Forrest.
And I am all for getting a group together for next year's Vegas expo, you can definitely cover more ground with a group than by yourself.

Day 2 was more crowded than Day 1, and my legs were tired from standing in lines for hours upon end. Plus, with the 114 fights starting at 4:30, I wanted to be out of the expo by 3 so I wouldn't miss any of the undercard. There were so many fighters I wanted to meet, but there just wasn't enough time. After Carwin and Machida, I got in line for Arianny and Vitor Belfort. This was another really long line, but luckily Cain Velasquez was signing close by, so I jumped in that line as it wasn't too long yet. Cain was totally cool, signed a glove and an 8x10 for me. I told him that I thought he'd be the HW champ soon, and he said "That's the plan."

By the time we finally got to the front of the Arianny/Vitor line, Vitor had bailed but Arianny was still there, so of course I was happy to get a pic with her!

I stopped by the Amp booth on day 1 to get a little energy boost. I asked one of the Amp girls if Urijah was going to be signing, and she said that he'd be there in 10 minutes. So I immediately got in line, which was a good thing as about 200 people jumped in behind me as soon as he showed up. Definitely the shortest line I waited in all weekend!

It was getting close to 3pm on Day 2, so I only had time for one more line, and it couldn't be too long. Near the expo entrance was the Xyience booth and Matt Serra's line wasn't too bad, so I jumped in. Serra stopped his signing a few times to take pics with some little kids and a guy in a wheelchair, which I didn't mind at all. He was very cool and signed a glove for me. I told him that I was there when he knocked out Trigg and he said "That was a good day in Yonkers" in the thickest NY accent imaginable--it was great!

Awesome pics. Matt Serra is a good dude. Reading all these stories and seeing all these pics has me so hype for Boston.

Awesome pics and stories. I went to the Expo last year in Vegas and had an amazing time. I live in Boston so I'm definately going to be there in August. The only guy I really need to meet is Serra. He's my second favorite fighter (right behind Rich Franklin, who I got to meet in May at the Arnold Classics). I love visiting the booths and buying mad stuff at great prices :D
